Hair donation for cancer patients: Nupur grew her hairs with care for many years and then donated that for the use of young cancer patients who lose their hairs due to radiation therapy.

Nupur's social activities appeared in the popular Dutch magazine Fashionista. She appealed people to also donate their hairs for the good cause.

Hair donation initiative for cancer patients in Fashionista magazine

Nupur Kohli visited several reputed hospitals in Delhi and Mumbai in India. Being part of the teams as an observer gave her the opportunity to look closely at the functioning of various departments namely Cardiology, Minimal Access Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology in highly regarded Indian hospitals.

She is working to share her knowledge and experience in Europe with the Indian counterparts to contribute to make the medical care in India more efficient. She believe that although world class doctors are available in India there can be improvements in Strategic management practical approach especially when it comes to medics at next lower level and further down. Small improvements there can make the medical care and healthcare system more efficient with better treatment of patients that can save more lives.

Dr. Nupur Kohli is Joint Secretary of the oldest Indian Diaspora Think Tank in the Netherlands, Foundation for Critical Choices for India, FCCI.

Foundation for Critical Choices for India (FCCI) is a think tank and focal point for initiating and implementing studies and programs on issues of strategic importance to India in social, political, economic fields by mobilizing the resources of non-resident Indians (NRIs) / persons of Indian origin (PIOs).

Dr. Nupur Kohli is also part of the organizing team of the Indian Diaspora events in the Netherlands including the regional Praviasi Bharatiya Divas Europe in 2009 in cooperation with Ministry of Indian Overseas Affairs, Government of India.

Dr Nupur Kohli is also founder of Indian Diaspora Youth Association in the Netherlands (INDYA). INDYA is a youth Think Tank which does study and organize events on the issues of Indian Diaspora Youth in Europe.
